Question Dump valve with FMIC question!!

My mate has a FMIC on his 95 WRX with a HKS SSQV dump valve and he wants to know if he puts the standard Scooby recirc valve back on will he loose any boost or will it cause problems putting excess pressue back in to the system?

Has anyone got a FMIC with the standard recirc valve on?

no, there shouldn't be any loss of boost, but it could run slightly lean, I'd say that he should be ok.

I have. You'll find an awful lot of people who've put standard black plastic DVs back on and they iron out all kinds of running problems with FMIC installations. There is no boost limit as such with a standard DV and they work well in any state of tune.

Thanks everyone we will try it with the standard recirc for a bit and see what results we get.
