Hi,

I have recently build an engine for my MY95 uk car and now i am having problems with starting it and need some technical help.

I have fitted vernier pullies and set the timing to what the piper cams suggested on the ticket. I am currently using a Link ECU which i know works as it has been sent back to OZ for tests and i have fitted it into another car.

The problem i have got is this, When i came to start the car i was only getting a spark from the plugs and no fuel. I have carried out various tests to the loom and sensors, even replacing the cam, crank and knock sensors. I then decided to change the inlet manifold loom to see if that was causing a problem, I sourced a loom off my friends running MY96 and proceeded to fit that. Upon test i found that i now have fuel on start up but no spark at the plugs.

Please can someone in the know suggest what could be the problem or where have i gone wrong so i can cure this problem. It is driving me insane.
