Blob Eye Impreza, Whats in the PPP Prodrive pack upgrade???
Hi all,
My mate has a Blob eye Impreza and she is looking to get the pro-drive package upgrade from Subaru. She doesn't want to mod so not to lose out on her warranty. Fair point.
Thing is she's asked them twice what is involved in the upgrade and twice she has been baffled by waffle.
She asked me and to be honest I wan't sure either. I know that she will be getting a prodrive exhaust, new air filter, re-map and her wheel alignment changed.
But is there anything else involved in the upgrade?? I don't think that there is, but I want to be sure as £1500 is a lot of dollar.
Cheers guys.

Presume this is for WRX.
You get:
Reinforced turbo exit hose
Prodrive rear box
Replacement (remapped) ECU. Take both car keys as new ECU has to learn them.
Power rises from 225 to 265 bhp.
You don't get alignment as this goes with Prodrive springs and is nothing to do with PPP.

PPP on a blob WRX consists of:
3rd cat delete pipe (straight through pipe from DP to centre section fitted inside the std heatshielding so from outside it still looks like the 3rd cat is still in place)
Prodrive rear silencer
Blue silicone rubber (Samco style) turbo to intercooler pipe
Remapped ECU
All supplied and fitted producing 265PS (261bhp) with a somewhat nicer exhaust note than standard.
You don't get a filter upgrade with the PPP (used to do that on very early classics)
You don't get alignment altered unless you're having the Prodrive Spring Kit fitted (not part of the PPP) or you specifically ask to get the car set up that way.
Yes, £1500 is quite a lot for what you (don't ?) get but it really all depends what your warranty is worth to you.
Less cash will see more power, better fueling and improved driveability with a remap and supporting mods (exhaust, filter etc.) but warranty goes up in a puff of exhaust fumes
Cheers,
Stewart.

325bhp from Power engineering when the car was just a couple of months old,(Full decat exhaust and ecutek map), Rear shocks went (don't they all)
Replaced on warranty, then after about 18 months the Gearbox synchros went, I had already complained about this when the car had it's 1 year service, after about 20 months Subaru finally agreed to do the gearbox on warranty and by that time it had FMIC, Aps up-pipe, aps induction running 350+bhp.
