Default Parallel fuel rail mod ?

Is the parallel fuel rail mod really worth the money when I have an Apexi Power FC which can control injector duty anyway ?

I'm running 4 bar fuel pressure but have all high pressure fuel lines.

Any thoughts on this ?

The hottest cylinder gets the fuel last.

I would say that anything that helps is a good Idea.

I know that there are lots of people that have done it (inc me), it may not be needed, but I see no reason not to do it

The fuel rail mod has nothing to do with injector duty (well actually if the IDC's go up, the 3rd may be starved of the fuel that it needs)

For the sake of a bit of hose, 2 y-pieces and some jubilee clips, I'd do it

Spot on 500. Duty cycle has nothing to do with it.

The standard fuel setup is to provide petrol to the first cylinder then on to the 2nd 3rd and 4th in a row (cylinder number order not important for this example).

The parallel mod will T off the fuel pipe and send it to 1 and 3 at the same time, followed but 2 and 4 after. It means there is less chance that you loose the pressure you need at the end of a serial loop compared to a parallel setup.

Interesting, is it reasonably cheap and easy to do?

Just off to do a search....

Thats only if you do it the expensive way and are using aeroquip fittings etc, you can just cut the pipes near the inlet/outlet, push hoses on and jubilee them on.

Yes its a manifold of job, If you keep the fuel pressure exactly where it is there is no need for a tweak. Give yourself half a day to carry it out.

I don't disagree with most of what is on here and the philosophy of doing anything that MIGHT make an improvement is one with which I concur. However, depending on the mods you already have you might want to prioritise the mods you still have to do. At circa 350 bhp I would consider parallel fuel rails a relatively low priority.

What are the thoughts on replacing the O/E FPR and reversing the flow direction???

You can't do the mod without moving the OE FPR so you might as well change it.

With No.3 having the most documented problems, I wouldn't say it is a low priority

What is the point of reversing the flow, it's easier to make it parallel and better for flow. But you already knew that
