Mine did this - cack-handed mechanic had dropped it when changing headers. I can't think what else would cause the error code except for damage to the sensor. You do have to put them back the right way and wind them up a bit as you do so, someone may have done that bit wrong?

Mine did it too (wrx ´02). It turned out to be the butterfly valves that were stuck. Nothing wrong to the sensors or the little motors. I took the big desicion to follow the instruction on Scoobymods on how to completely remove the valves and the walls inside the TGV tunnel. Only thing left is the one half of the axle which is important to connect the sensor and motor together so you don´t get a CEL. Your TGV will never get stuck again and you get rid of some nasty obstructions in your intake system. Nice power gain too. Try it.
