is this why my car smokes... Hmmmm
Hi all, just took my head off the left bank cos i had a smoke issue on idle and on over run and this is what i found.
The first ring had a gap of 0.47 thou
The second 0.37in thou
The oil ring gap was 0.94 thou
plus the first and second ring differ in thickness from the very outer edge to the inner from 0.44 to 0.39 thou and 0.57 to 0.54 so they have worn in thickness.
Im going to check the bore tomorrow, what the most it can be ovaled?
