I have a spare ecu that was with a few spares when i brought my car. I have a 94 wrx jap import. This ecu has 3B on it so can i use this in my car? also if i cant becuase the ecu is different would i be able to swap the modified chip over into my ecu just to see if it is any better.
It is one done by zero sports so what is likley to be changed, if i tried it just for like 10 mins is it likley to cause any extensive damage?
Thanks for looking

early ecus are w6,u8,2c for normal wrx the 3b is from a wrx RA (iirc).
Zero sports chips (along with many from Japan like Mines and Prova) normally have aggressive fuel and boost maps for their fuel.
I know a couple of people who run them and they seem fine but many people have had bad problems with them.
Check PolarPerformance for a chip done in this country which fits in the same place but is mapped for UK fuel etc.
