Just a quick thanks for all previous posts on here regarding oil/ oil filter change as it gave me the confidence to have a bash this afternoon and save me a bit of dosh. I especially liked Mr Lewis's thread on the joys of this job, but decided to follow suburu manual guidelines, except to fill oil filter before screwing on. A worthwhile tip though which wasnt mentioned which will save a Greenpeace demonstration - dont presume the oil will drain downwards immediately after removing sump plug! A major squirt sideways should indeed be expected, plus accompanied swear words.
