Idle issues
I have had a quick look in these forums for this but didn't find anything to help
So, my problem is when the car is cold or been off for a short while, when started the idle is very irratic! Its up and down and sometimes it stalls. It used to start 1st time everytime and now it don't start sometimes, but on the 2nd flick of the key it will start When its steady it revs about 1500rpm (don't know if that's any good?). Its a pain in the **** because when you want to pull out of a junction, you have to give it some wellie and hope it don't stall
Anyone with any reasons as to why this could be happening? Please

Right i've got the same problem (93wrx) it has been checked for fault codes and none were found the next step is checking the coil packs and plugs for me which is being done this Friday.
Although mine does it when it's warmed up it's fine.

You see, when mine is warm its fine
Recently checked the coil packs and changed the plugs. The car was still running fine after they were done. Could it be anything to do with the idle screw on the top of the engine? Would that need a little twist I wonder!
