Default cel code po188

i have recently fitted a tdo5,while trying to get intake pipe back on it was being obstructed by the tumble generator potentiometer,so i had to remove it to get the jubilee clip in to place.
i heard something spring back when the potetiometer came off i presume the flaps in manifold sprung shut now it is all running i have a fault code of p0188 tumble generator low input that will not reset.
i know there is a mod to remove the flaps but is there any way of getting them back into the correct position so the cel light can be reset, without removing the manifold?

car is a 2004 uk spec wrx

cheers

P1088 - manual says no. Looks like the manifold has to come off to get access. Doesn't even mention replacing the sensor on its own so I guess you're not supposed to remove it!

You can remove the tumblers or just the motors and leave them open, but you'll need a mapper to switch the fault code off and tweak the map accordingly!!

Only if you go down the Ecutek route, A reputable open-source mapper can do it for half the price, and even just optimising the cars map without any mods will see more power and potentially an improvement in fuel economy. That's why it is worth planning your mod and doing them as a oner; once you've had a remap done most mappers will charge less for subsequent tweaks

If youve changed the turbo and intake pipe your going to need a map anyway

Most mappers will map out a code for a few quid if you join in a mapping session....RaceDynamix mapped out my missing EGT sensor

Otherwise it's part of a re-map, opensource about £300
