well you may av seen my post few weeks ago about wanting to scrap my wrx coz possible headgasket gone, knocking coming up thru pedals, blowing exhaust and spluttering,

well just had a full service come to a total of £220 that included

fuel filter,
oil filter,
air filter,
new front brake pads both sides,
gear box oil,
injector cleaner,
screen wash,
and three hours labour done at my house and now my car is fine nothing wrong with my head gasket been told ive got a good engine.exhaust now sorted the knocking was a broken bracket under exhaust now soughted aswell and the spluttering was due to two holes in exhssut got it all done today service and exhaust fixed for £260 now running fine like a animal again

Good on ya mate

I too was advised that I had a faulty head gasket and all it turned out to be was a faulty thermostat...

Beastie u r rite...maintenance does go a looooooooooooooooong way and Believe me I have maintained my car better than I do myself lol

Just goes to show that a second/third and maybe fourth opinion on any serious issue goes along way too...

enjoy the drive fella!
