It was fine for about 15mins then got on a fast strech of road put my foot down from about 3rd gear and it cut about three times its only a split second that it cuts for, never does it unless the boost is getting stronger kind of mid boost any iders greatfull cheers

Could be a Maf sensor problem, did it on mine, did take it off and clean, but didn't help...

But got a new one supplied by HDC SUBARU - parts .. breaking .. salvage .. consumables.. mail order ask for Howard..

All workin fine now....

I have similar problems but it feels like it misses( spark plugs?) at the higher rpm.

Followed them back and they lead to a small cylindrical unit which is light blue in colour. Also has 'Denso' on the bracket holding it in place...is this the boost solenoid?

cheers

I have a 99Uk Spec - had this problem only a couple of months ago - Went through the process of cleaning - I was told to use a brake cleaner - it worked for a few short trips, but the problem returned when I was opening her up on a long stretch.
Eventually I replaced the Maf Sensor and the problem rectified. Cost £130 from Subaru - took 5 minutes to fit (myself). And now she's purring again
I think you can get cheaper - I think Bosch do an equivalent for less cash - but i decided to go with Subaru, thinking maybe you get what you pay for and I think the one that was existing on my car at the time was an equivalent.
Good luck though
