Look for the revs fluctuating when you push the button, or open the bonnet and get someone to push the button while you look at the centre of the ac pump, the outer part will always turn but when you push the button the magnetic cluth will engage and the middle part should turn if it does not the pump could be away or the gas could have run out, or an electrical fault, lol never easy is it!

Cool, will get the wife to turn it on, while i look, if, not would have no gas in stock the pump from turning,.
Coz if that is the case, means regas 1st then if no leaks, pump, or elec, god never ending story.
Just seen a pump, but will a 95 pump fit a 97 car

Pertty sure all clasic pumps are the same, you can get the system leak cheaked they will inject a dye that can be seen under uv light if its leaking no point in getting it regassed, but if there are no leaks and it still doesnt work arter a regas than you are looking at a pump or electrical fault, its probably best to get them checked first however as if you get it regassed then have to replace the pump then you will have wasted your money on the first regas. hope this helps
