right after having loadsa problems with my engine . it appears that know the head gasket has gone.
now i see no point in rebuilding a 140k engine...
its a my97 with the coilpack in the middle, what are the best options for me know then . straight swap for another engine the same . or go for an sti conversion

Our fully rebuilt unit for that is only £1700.00 + VAT which is far better value than a short motor, even if it is from Subaru.

well today i went to a garage and they performed a test to see if a head gasket has gone..
and to my amazment it hasnt. although it did get very hot!
they seem to think the water pump has given up the ghost ,
so i will order a new belt, water pump and thermo stat this week, and hopefully that will cure the problem . they also suggested a new rad wouldnt go a miss either ..
