Z4 is the best but any WRX TD05 ECU will fit. Make sure you don't get an STI ECU as it will have the raised rpm level.

You could buy an ESL daughterboard chip to put in your new ECU, makes a marked improvement. Speak to ESL, they might be able to give you a daughterboard that fits your current ECU, but runs the TD05 at ahigher than standard boost. May be a better idea for £195. Speak to them.

Nick.

PolarPerformance do the esl style chip but also a remappable daughter board.

The ESL daughter board at £195 is remappable AFAIK.

Just had a quick look on their website (+£50 for the software) and it looks like you're correct but it seem unless you go to PTS you have to do it yourself (which would be a good way to learn i suppose but not something i would try)

I thought there was 2 products.

The old esl daughter board (non mappable) £195
or
The new live map board £250 with base map or £550 with it mapped to your car.

I could be wrong though.

ESL have the old daughter board which I believe they can support for £50 per remap, but it's up to you to change the map unless they have a suitable one on the shelf.
They are trying to move away from this to pedal the live mapping board which turns the standard ECU into a fully mappable item which can be bespoke mapped 'on-the-fly' time and time again.
