wich octane fuel
Hi,
Iam new to scoobynet as I have just bought a 1994 wrx import firstly I have been told to run it on optimax only, I have have been running it on the bp ultimate 97 octane, the optimax is 98 octane the car seems to run badly, could this be down to the fuel. What do you guys use?
Also could anybody tell me what a standard 1994 wrx import should be running (bhp).
Thanks for your help mark

1994wrx is 240ps (236bhp) as standard .
On my 93wrx i use either Tescos 99ron or Vpower (99ron).
With the early ecus they don't 'learn' new settings very easily so perhaps it would be easier to stick with the 97ron or put a higher octane fuel reset the ecu (Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia / Scoobypedia) then continue to use that,if you go from the higher octane back down to the lower octane then the ecu will jusr retard the ignition to cope with the change.
