no 15 is not bad.
Mine hit 16 today just starting it up lol.
Depends to a certain degree what age your car is? My mates 98 uk turbo is usually around the 6-10 mark. My 95 wrx is higher.
Ive just had mine fitted and mapped by andy forrest and he said n the 20's is fine on early wrx's, although mine is rarely that high.
I might hit 40 plus if im really givin it some, but again that is ok. I even hit 66 knock the day after I got it mapped, I rang andy and he said as long as its a one off its not a problem.
You have to remember its not actually engine knock that it is measuring, its back ground noise, so if you hit a bump in the road, a cats eye, even a white line, or a stone etc etc etc then that will raise the reading on the controller.
What i do is press the up button on the controller, that records your peak readings for the drive, and just keep a check on the peak reading everytime before you turn the car off. But 15 is fine! Thats around my usual normal driving reading, hard driving see's 20-30 sometimes higher.

15 is very good, but as stated previously it all depends on the model year as the later the cars, the less engine knock is registered as they get quieter..apparently..... my my00 registers no more than 3 on start up and never more than 10 when on full chat......... 50 or so tends to be where most would tend to back off, though mine is mapped to flash the cell at 30 i believe.

There is a noise level that is particular to your engine and state of tune, so every car is different.
Normally the noise level will increase with rpm and thats not a bad thing. Its when you get sudden spikes or large increases that you need to worry.
My MY98 WRX shows around 7-8 on cruise and normal running. After logging via datalogit this seems to be normal engine noise.
When I was mapping from 1.25 to 1.4 bar I saw some figures around 30 which was quickly resolved and mapped to show 10 - 12 on WOT at full boost.
