Default White smoke from exhaust indicates what?

Noticed a small amount whilst accelerating from 1st gear. What should I be looking for?

Could just be a little steam?
Oil is blue smoke as a rule,
If your concerned you could have a quick look in the header tank(expansion tank) for water and oil mix, and see if there is any mayo coloured gunk in the oil, If you still have a worry you could get it checked at a garage for headgasket problems, seeing as your only really seeing it in 1st may just be a little condensation thats built up,Or is it always in 1st?.

Car was well warmed when I noticed it. Oil and water are fine. I'll have to get someone to look for me as I don't like looking backwards whilst going forwards.

What about on start up?

If the car is warm i don't think you would get condensation.

white smoke is also brake fluid, check your level.

the fluid bypasses the gland seal and enters the engine via the vac hose.

When the level is too high? When the gland seal is damaged? Non-comprende.

can happen at anytime, but yes, usually when there is a problem with the gland seal
