Default KNOCK LINK & MAP QUERY

I'm getting my my97 Sti mapped shorty lads and am wondering:

1) What are the essentials to have in place before the mapping commences?

2) What is the best Knock Link to get and where?

My current set up is a Buddy Club middle and tail section exhaust, FMIC and induction kit obviously (will be upgrading to a RCM unit before). I was thinking i'll need to get the down pipe sorted and fuel pump but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated

PS: I'll be using the Power FC

Essentials would be ideally a new set of plugs gapped correctly what ever the state of tune proir to mapping.

If your fitting the up rated fuel pump it would be wise to go with an aftermarket FPR, i would also look into the down pipe. After this stage it would be injector upgrade then ported or stainless headers turbo

For Knocklink i use Detalrm.

Rooja doesn't sell them anymore. He sold on the franchise

Is there anywhere i might get one or is there a major difference between it and the Knock Link aside from price?

The Detalarm outfit has been past on and is in goods hands, these units will be available very shortly priced at around £100 I believe , failing that we have the KnockLinks at £140.

I've got the kit form detalarm that I never got around to soldering together.
£35 to your door. Double it and I may well dust down my soldering iron.
