you need to get a converter/delimiter, it fits on the back of the speedo, this should get it all back to mph.

Milsport

My understanding of the uk cars have an electronic speedo & the earlier jap cars have a cable operated system.

To get the jap cars to read in mph you have use use a convertor inbetween the cables or speedo. The convertor also removes the limiter automatically.

So you will have to change to a cable operated sytem.
Parts required;
Short speedo cable thats fitted to the gearbox.
Then the convertor (or the one thats fits into the back of the speedo).
The long cable that fits into the back of the speedo.
A jap speedo (180kph dial face).

Then possibly rewire the new jap speedo or may be not as I have not seen the back of a uk speedo. But my thoughts are that the uk uses different electrical connectors.

I guess its the speed sensor fault code?

I am not sure if a electronic speed convertor will work on your previous electronic set up.

i have got an electronic converter not sure how to wire it though!
it has instructions but the wiring diagram colours dont match the car as the
converter/delimiter is for an import not a uk turbo?
it might just be the case that all i have to do is find the speedo signal wire
then this converter may work?? if anybody knows how to locate this signal wire that would be a great help! cheers..
