ive been offered a set of heads from a type ra .
ive had a headgasket let go on me , so i thought why not would save having mine skimmed.
can anyone see any potential problems with this . surely they will be a straight swap
my car is a late 96 uk turbo

Assuming the same year... Cams are different no? ECU might be in for a surprise when you fire it up the first time.
If if it's a different year make sure that they're phase one heads as the 96 engine is a phase one motor. Otherwise you're going to be messing with some wires and will also need the intake manifold as the phase one and phase two manifolds have a different bolt pattern.
