Default engine exraction

i know it's been asked a thousand times before,but my mate & 1 tried to get my wrx lump out..but it does not want to split fron gear box on passenger side ...i have taken the big dowel thing out of the clutch folk,but does the fork need to come completley out,it does not seem to be connected owt...thanx

Needs to be lifted out the way of the clutch bearing.

Helps to jack the box up slightly when hoisting out the engine.

thanx mate,did jack gearbox up but will try and lift fork out of the when lifting...think i might have to get some extra man power (only 2 of us lol)or get a crane....

Try it on your own...If the engine is about 10mm off the box then the fork will be stopping it parting. Just lift it free of the release bearing as Triple X says.

The box is deceptivly heavy when it comes loose....
