can smell fuel off the disptick

strong smell actually, the cars gone for an m.o.t, obviously I need to get an oil change done, but can harm be done to the engine in a short space of time.

ive got the same prob mate, i was told it was just old oil nothing to worry about..
obviously get the oil change done tho.

Do you have a vta dump valve?

On a maf based car they can result in overfuelling which in turn can lead to bore wash. Oil that smells of petrol comes next.

If so it's best to more regular oil changes.
