Exhaust-de cat and a funny sensor
hey all i'm lookin for a little advice, currently changing my full system to a stainless de-cat one on my MY95 wrx, where i have taken the origional off there is a small plug and sensor after the cat, (not the lam one) and the new pipe does not have a plug for the wire, i think its a heat sensor but not 100% sure, there is a light on the dash now when ignition is on.It looks like a exhaust with 3 or 4 little wavey lines comming off light heat, but its not in a fit state to turn it over to see if it go's off. If it is just a heat sensor would it be on to just short it out and get rid of the light on the dash or would this be a bad idea?
any info muchly appreciated as dont want to do it without realy knowing wot its gonna do!
cheers

that is the cat over heat or cat on fire sensor as it is known.
just plug the original sensor in and cable tie it somewhere out the way.. it should then turn the light out and all sorted.
Also your car will have the lambda sensor in the headers, it is worth moving it to the boss in the downpipe assuming you haven't welded up the hole. they last longer there..
