Default Which injectors? MY07 WRX

Morning people

I'm currently leaning toward STi TMIC, TD05-18G...which injectors should I be going for?

Many thanks in advance

Standard wrx injectors are i believe 505cc.... could fit an adjustable regulator to up the flow rate a bit,but should be ok for the 18g you propose to fit.

WRX has smaller (380cc) injectors as standard; STi injectors (510cc) are gonna be running really hard if you squeeze all available power from an 18G.

I would suggest allowing yourself a little more headroom than STi injectors will give you and go for 650cc injectors.

How much would I be looking at for 650cc injectors then?

Haha, I have to admit, I'd not factored in the newer WRX being a 2.5 If the fitted injectors are pink, then they are the earlier STi 510's.

Still not really big enough though to be honest. New Age Injectors will give you some options.

505cc injectors are good for 400bhp....... 18g will go to approx 370-380 depending on other mods that are on the car,so would poss be at the top of the injectors limits, upping the fuel pressure as stated earlier will allow more headroom to run the turbo to its potential..... or go to 650 cc items.

We rate our 18G's (conservatively) at 375BHP. 510cc (STi) Injectors we rate at 380BHP.

This is not in our opinion sufficient safety headroom on that Turbo! Short of quantifying the ability of the injectors by running them through our state of the art Injector flow test rig, I think those figures can be trusted as reliable.

It would be folly to run the injectors so close to the limit for a whole host of reasons, you shoud be planning (where possible/practical) allowing for circa 15% headroom on max IDC.

Just quoting the injector and turbo capabilities from a well known tuners website.... agree more headroom would be a good idea (thought i stated that clear enough)

Besides which, when the car is mapped no one with any sence would run the idc's that close to the limit anyway.
