power steering leak?? help please

Default power steering leak?? help please

hi, i reckon my power steering leak is getting worse now as it is all wet around the reservoir bottle and below. is there some sort of seal that could of gone. if so is it an easy job. let me know if anyone has had this problem and what is involved to do it cheers dan

Yes the seal / o ring has gone .. It is a common problem on classic'

Did mine about a fortnight ago.. Used a small coke bottle, a 10mm socket, and a turkey baster with small rubber hose.
  • Remove all fluid from resevoir into the empty coke bottle using the turkey baster.
  • Undo the three bolts holding the reseviour on, and the pipe clip on the resevoir.
  • Remove resevoir
  • Change o-ring at bottom of resevoir
  • refit the bottle/hose/clip/three bolts
  • Fill resevoir with new ATF fluid, or re-use the old stuff
