This may be of use to someone.
The car just started really running rough today, Symtoms were lack of power and misfire when driving with no boost, Under load i got full boost and then it cut in tandom with awfull misfireing. I also noticed on my psi3 that it was going very lean under load.
Got it home and started to play and thought the fuel pump sounded odd.
Stripped the top of the tank and removed the pump and there was the problem.
The 2 or 3inch rubber pipe between the pump and tank outlet had a split in it so half the fuel the pump was pumping was not making it out of the tank.
This may help someone if the get similar symtoms.
Now a question ive replaced it with fuel hose from my local factors, But im not convinced this is designed to be submerged in the tank.
Is there a special type of hose for in tank use? Or is normal fuel hose acceptable.

Update:-
After some research you cannot or should not use regular fuel hose within the tank. Regular fuel hose is made of a layer of nitrile on the inside and rubber on the outside. The fuel turns the rubber very soft almost like a tar substance.
In tank fuel pipe should be double layered nitrile to stop the fuel from eating the pipe away. Ive had regular pipe in my tank for one day only as a temp measure. I removed it today and it had deteriorated alot for a days use.
