Question Help fitting lowering kit?!?! pics inside...

Hi when lowering the back of a 2001 wrx, is there a certain way the springs go round, ie all the coils that are close together at the top or bottom?certain way the top mounts go on or face? or are the rear springs sided?

i noticed on the top mounts it said 'OUT' guessing this ment that side points toward the out side of the car.

Just ive fitted springs on mine now have a clonk from the rear on bumps or turning sharply, sounded at first like something was lose but all is tight, ive removed my rear seats again and sat in the back with someone else driving to locate the noise and its deffinatly coming from both rear struts, only since lowered it tho.

any ideas??

std springs back on now and its all silent noticed when took the new uns back off tho the coil winding is not the same as original so where the end of the spring sits its 180 degrees out causing the top mount to not sit flush with the top of the spring causing knocking they will be sent back to the supplier and full refund expected.

on the hunt for some more springs now

on this pic can see the windings are 180 degrees out

this shows the spring to wide for strut

shows the spring fitted compared to old, look at the top mount ang gap between spring and mount!!!!!!!

and thought id try it with the spring othe way round, still the same

waste of a couple night of work

Sorry if im being completly dim

Were the springs handed? As in were they both identicle or did they differ from side to side. Also wre they on the right way round, as in upside down? Always thought the smaller winding should be at the top? May be wrong mind, never done it myself
