Default North East - Where to go?

Where is the place to go for some simple work to be done such as sports cat fitment, filter and a remap in the North East of England, or the closest place to go that comes highly recommended?

Places such as Andy Forrest's and Bob Rawle's, Powerstation etc are miles upon miles away surely there is a place which is closer and has a good reputation for doing such work on Imprezas?

If not then I'm guessing its worth the travel to have the work done right?

Thanks in advance

As said above Andy F is the man for remaps, it's only near edinburgh about 150 miles away from you, I got my car done by him last year and what a difference!!!

Well had a word with Andy F and as you all said it sounds like a downpipe decat, filter and remap is the way to go to achieve 350bhp and 350-390lbft.

As Andy F doesn't fit downpipe decats what is the score with fitting one before I head up to Scotland?

Are there any issues with the running of the car whilst a downpipe decat is fitted if only for 150 miles or so? I am aware that the CEL light may come on but I read somewhere that the remap will cancel this out? Basically I am just concerned about the running of the car.

Also he only mentioned the downpipe, is there no need to fit a new cat pipe as well or will replacing both the cat pipe and downpipe result in MOT failure?

With regards to the downpipe, I am looking to get the Afterburner Downpipe from Scoobyworld for £205, is this a good choice?

Thanks in advance for all replies!!

Default Not much more expensive ?

A catted down-pipe will cost a little more but pass an mot, you will lose a couple of BHP to brag at the bar with tho' !

Cheers!

I see you are based at Ingleby Barwick.
For all types of fitting, servicing and mechanical repairs and electrical work, guages etc. you can rely on Darren at DLM Autos in Darlington. His work is good and his prices are very fair and you can reach him 01325 480678.
