Hi Guys. Hello from Fiji.
Im in a bit of dilemma here and was just wondering if anyone could help me out.
Ive got a V3 STI Type R and recently fitted a Trust PE2 Catback system with a Trust/ Greddy Downpipe.
The problem im having is that there is no subie rumble. Its very slight and it hardly sounds like a Rexy at High revs.
My exhaust manifolds are the standard one's.
Should i fit the factory front pipe with cat and see if that makes a difference.
Thanks in advance.

What design is the muffler on the Trust system?
You should definitely hear exhaust rumble if you have a straight through muffler. I have a straight through Apexi N1 muffler on the stock decatted exhaust system and have a nice rumble. And some pops and bangs as well.

i just checked and it is a straight through muffer. There are resonators in the system, one in the middle and one near the muffler.
The exhaust system is JASMA certified. Do you think that has something to do with it.
Should i remove the resonators?

Its the same from me on sti ra ver2 with complete turboback Trust/Greddy PE2. (down+mid pipes + muffler) Uppipe and headers are stock. It is basicly straight through design. But the burble is not loud enough at low revs, at least from the cabine.
But on the 4000+ RMP it is a scoob's exhaust note, although I always watch other scoobs passing by and have to admitt that for some reason they seem more harsh. And thats what I like.
Btw the muffler has Jasma on it.
I even think I want to try and swap the mufflers with some one else.

Will it sound better with the 2 resonators removed? I know it will be louder but im not sure if i will get the rumble.
Thats the only thing i can think of in the exhaust system which will make the biggest difference to the sound since the muffler is a straight through type.

don not know if removing that one fattening piece of pipe will help. And you going 78mm pipe instead ? Not sure. I just think it has sth to do with the downpipe and muffler design...rather than the midpipe.
