just checked and is vf28.....
VF28
This turbo came standard on the STi Version 5. In terms of overall size, it is smaller than the VF22, VF30 and VF34, and about same size as the VF23.

![Question](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/icons/icon5.gif)
im hoping to put on a vf35 on a my99 or would a vf28 be as good ?
i know id need remap for any vf turbo but would i need a larger intercooler ie sti8 ect or would my standard intercooler cope?
and could i fit either turbo and drive the car to the remappers? (approx 80mile)

vf35 is better than vf28.. yes just drive it off boost
the standard intercooler could be catered for but you would benefit more from a larger intercooler like the sti8.

thanks for your swift reply
if i get the car mapped for a vf35 with my standard intercooler inplace would i need a remap if i fitted a sti8 intercooler at a latter date??
or am i just improving the safety factor by reducing charge temps?
1 last question what is boost creep??

ideally it would need checking but yes you are going in the safer direction but you would gain more power having it mapped on it.
boost creep is where the wastegate cannot flow enough exhaust gases away fro m the turbine and the boost increases or creaps higher and cannot be brought down.. ie. map it for 1bar and it holds 1bar to 5500rpm and then creaps to 1.2bar..
