Hi all,

I have a 1996 sti, it has a 6K ecu fitted, is this the correct ecu for my car and does anyone know the stats for this model ecu?
Would i benefit from a Z4 ecu?
Can anyone tell me which turbo should be fitted to my 1996 sti?
Any help/info would be great.

i have it on my94 wrxsti and standard runs 250 bhp just got mine chipped by scott t loads better now

6K ecu is better than the Z4 (as it's a wrx ecu) but have a look here Enduring Solutions Limited for an option (also has a map of dealers)

6K is the correct ECU for and STI 2 or an STi 555 V-Ltd
It's basically the same map as the Z4 but runs 13.64psi rather then 12.7psi

The 6K Map is actually the same map as used for the UK Prodrive upgrade (so much for apparent risks of running an STI ECU in a UK )

Should be a TD05 turbo if its standard.
You should really get the ecu swapped for something like an Apexi etc just so you can remap it for UK fuel

the 6K is fine for UK Fuel. As mentioned above it's actually the map that Prodrive us in the UK Prodrive 1993-1996 upgrade
