I have been searching but nothing really says this will happen or what will go bang etc.
what will happen if de-cat or put a sports cat in the downpipe?
ive read something about boost creep but how much will that increase by?
the car currenty has dp back straight through, an apexi avcr(about 1.2bar) and a hks fuel cut defender is installed. also have a walbro255 waiting to go on. MY05 wrx btw.
would it be ok to drive about? will the fcd stop the boost creeping too high? and can it be adjusted?
lots o questions i know sorry!
any help woud be great.

running 1.2bar is a bit on the edge as is imho.. you would benefit much more from the mods with a remap.. the driveablilty and throttle response let alone the power increase

thats great, thanks for the info.
on the odd ocasion it has spiked to 1.25/1.3
the only reason for doing the downpipe first because it would be the cheapest, because 300 for a sports cat dp, plus probly around 100 fitting, plus the up-pipe while its there then a remap, probly wouldnt get me any change of a grand.
if i had it remaped as it is, would i notice a good difference? and how much cheaper would the remap be the second time when i decide to do the up and down pipe?
Cheers JGM

it is well beyond the original boost.. it is on the edge due to not being mapped for it..
yes you would see the benefit mapping even a standard car.
secondtime would be half the price as you only pay the licence price once.
