i am thinking about painting my fmic so that it blends with the car?
is this wise? has anyone else done it?
if so what paint is best to use?
it will be going black, i know it is not a good colour for heat attraction etc!
cheers

Sorry andy, but i don't agree. Colour affects the amount of energy absorbed from light (e.g. sunlight). The heat dissapation ability has to do with the material (alloy) the intercooler is made from, not its colour. I am sure that a coating of paint will reduce the effeciency of the intercooler, although I imagine it won't be by much.

Black is the best to radiate heat, but as it's in the airflow that's not a problem... I don't think sunlight will cook anything really !
And agree a coat of paint won't do any real harm, go on give it a go !
