Default Over boost and power loss

Well people. Have a 2000 impreza turbo-remapped.

On accelleration in high gears it over boosts and losses power briefly then accelerates then it happens again etc . I have changed the boost solinoid but its still happening.

Any suggestions on whats happening and how to fix it would be great.

Cheers

I'm no expert. Far from it, but you shouldn't get boost spike if whoever mapped it, did it properly. Surely this is one of the things to look out for when upping the boost. I could be wrong though.
Some of the mappers on here will be able to advise better.

might be cos of the colder weather, increases boosdt so could be hitting the boost cut, might need the mapper to go in and slightly dial back the boost a bit to solve it in cold weather

hello, i had the sameproblem with my hawkeye sti jdm and at first i thought it was the weather that was causing it... when i opened the hood, to check ifeverything was ok, i found out that one of the three small pipes that were t'eed right after the stock wastegate had come off... i went ahead and put it back in and everything was back to normal...

Same problem. Standard Ecutek remap on a MY2000 with decat downpipe. On hard acceleration boost shoots up to almost 20psi then drops back to 10psi then goes up and down settling around 15. Power goes up and down with boost. Does the restrictor play a part with this set-up?
