Default Another WRX problem!!

The problem started a couple of weeks ago as if it was fuel cutting but it was intermitant.

I had a look under the bonnet yesterday, and found that the hose directly behind the MAF was very loose so I tightened it up and was sure that I had solved it.

I drove it home last night but it then started to feel like it was missing and drove very poorly. When I got home I disconnected the battery for the night to see if the ECU needed to be reset, but it is still running badly this morning.

It feels like it is missing when I pull away and at low revs through the gear range, and it is also takes a while for the revs to drop when idling.

Any ideas????
Thanks

Cheers spender, its more of a miss firing problem I think.

Through a process of elimination, I have tried removing the plug from the air meter and throttle body whilst the car is running. Both do have an effect on the tick over.

I then removed the coil packs from the near side cylinder head. The front one had a bigger effect on the tick over than the back one. I think the back one is cylinder 3?? It didn't seem

When the car miss fires I can also here a ticking/pinking noise like a relay from either behind the dashboard or under the bonnet??

Any ideas???

No CEL codes shown.

Gonna have another play this morning. I'll try a new set of plugs then check the coil packs.

What is the best way to test a coil pack?

Cheers
