Default Boost problem or flat spot

MY scooby has developed a problem in the last few days. To do with the boost. The car pulls in 1st,2nd,3rd all the way upto redline with no problems.
When I put it in 4th or 5th, when I hit 4000rpm to 5000rpm the boost still goes up on the boost gauge, the revs still go up, but the car is not pulling. Its like the clutch is slipping but its not. Soon as it hits 5000rpm its back to warp factor mode.

Ive recently just fitted a maf, done a reset and just fitted a new forge dumpvalve. New maf as old one packed in, a new dump valve as I thought the old one was leaking.

Please help as the car is booked into Andys on the 19th December, so I need it sorted before I hand it over to the Scooby God.

Cheers Phil.

Could be many things mate, it happened to me on my ra, i found it was a leaking up pipe, very small split under the heat shield, so was very hard to find, at first i thought it could not be this because it only really lost boost in 4th and fifth, (sometimes third) and not 1st and 2nd, also mine used to feel like the clutch was slipping, but like you say at around 5-5.5k it starts pulling again.
hope this helps
