Question Ignition Trouble - 95 wrx

I replaced the piston rings and all gaskets & seals in my 95 wrx engine.
Engine re-fitted, all connections ok, earth ok, no error codes on MIL, all sensor outputs appear ok, turning over but wont start. All ecu I/Os seem OK except only outputting signal on 2 of the 4 wires to the ignitor.
I have changed ECT Sensor, Cam Sensor, Crank Sensor & Ignitor and tried a
2nd ECU (chipped & unchipped), all to no avail.
My central locking fob gave up the ghost, so I removed the receiver unit as well. Is there a factory immobiliser circuit in there somewhere?
