Hi peeps

In need of some advice could some please tell me what good parts are to buy for my next service on the scooby

also what injecters do i have cos the 1st one is noising and got told to replace when it goes but i thought i might aswell replace them all while i'm giving it the service.

what year/reg and mileage and i would of thought dodgy injectors would need replacing asap you dont want any fuel problems on a scooby mate.

 

year is 92

it should have the 380 injectors,depends what service history you have with the car to say what needs changing but if you dont have much history, i would get cambelt done and maybe water pump,then obvious thing oil/oil filter, plugs and check coil packs, if they havnt been changed.all depends what history you have with the car alot of the work you can do yourself to save a bit of dosh.

 

my mate is an excellent machanice and has worked on scoobys before so that side is not a problem

i have no service history with it due to being an import and he the prevouis owner did it him self and never kept reciepts

I am getting the cambelt done

what is good stuff to get then

Injecters which ones

The car is holding oil & water very well aswell.

Everything seems all good apart from that one noisy injecter

440's are cheap 2nd hand and good for about 320bhp if you are upping the power or i should imagine standard 380's would also be very cheap, good for about 290bhp. there's lots of info on search mate about which,price and output etc.
but i would get them sorted asap.

standard oil filter
oil lots and lots of opinions 10/40 or 10/50 a good starting point.
common problems include leaking rocker covers(easy fix)
leaking radiator(easy fix)
front crank seal (easy fix change when doing cambelt)
lots of info on search for more info
