Smile Help with spec for MY06 WRX

Hi everyone.

I was hoping you could help me with the specification of my WRX. It's a November 2005 car, but I understand is a MY06 model. (2.5 engine and 'hawkeye' headlights).

I have searched and looked on Scoobypedia, but there doesn't seem to be much info out there. I have spoken to a couple of different tuning companies and received conflicting information, so would really appreciate any help.

I am particularly interested in the following:

Injector size (have been told 440cc and 505cc)
Turbo model (have been told TD04)
Does the car have a cat in the up-pipe? (Have been told yes and no)
Does the car have variable cam timing? (Have been told yes and no)
If fitting a VF34, would I need a Walboro uprating fuel pump and new injectors? (Have been told yes and no)
What is the limit in terms of power/torque for this engine with standard internals? (I understand the gearbox is the weakest link and have been told that 340/330 is the limit.)
Were there any changes between 06 and 07?

I know it's a lot of questions and I genuinely have tried finding out for myself, but if there is somewhere with the definitive spec that someone could point me to instead, that would be great.

Many thanks,

Ben

Injector size - 505cc
Turbo model (have been told TD04) - correct
Does the car have a cat in the up-pipe? - Yes
Does the car have variable cam timing? - no
If fitting a VF34, would I need a Walboro uprating fuel pump and new injectors? no
What is the limit in terms of power/torque for this engine with standard internals? 380ish.. depending further on your limit of risk taking.. well beyond a VF34 can throw at it

Were there any changes between 06 and 07? not aware of anything major..

Thanks mate that's brilliant.

Just one question. When you say it wouldn't need a new fuel pump and injectors, did you mean it wouldn't need either? Or that it would need a new fuel pump but not new injectors?

Thanks again.

with a vf34 and the fuel pump only being a year or so old I wouldn't bother..

you could as a walbro pump is cheap but shouldn't be a must change job.
