Default w9 ecu

Hi lads, i have 1994 import wrx with a w9 ecu,im wondering is a STI Type RA v2 6k ECU a direct swop for mine? Any help would be great thanks!

it is but the STI engine has a higher rev limit if you want better info speak to someone like Scott T at www.polarperformance who can supply a chip to go in your ecu to increase power.

Would the new ecu not just bring up the limit ?Thanks

Yes you would have a higher rev limit but the STI has better internals then the WRX (forged compared to cast) hence the higher rev limit.
