I doubt mark at Lateral would mind me posting up this response i got from him re a PM I sent him :

"Andy,

Personally, I wouldn't push a standard engine to 450bhp, so if you intend to keep it standard, you could use either turbo, but just not push the "T" so hard.

The "T" seems to work particularly well with the VVT set up, and there doesn't seem a lot in it, with regard to spool up.

Zak at Mocom recently put an MD321T on his own STi, and achieved 1.55bar by just over 3000rpm. Cars will obviously vary.

Andy F also had similar results with a T on a "VVT" STi, and that would be my choice.

With regard to supporting mod's, just what you would normally do when aiming for higher power. De-cat exhaust, up rated fuel pump, & injectors depending on power, a front mount intercooler, and ideally a 3 bolt exhaust manifold, that works extremely well with the MD style turbo.

The MD321 H, & T are the same price at £1275.00 + vat, and includes water fittings, gaskets, studs, and a braided oil feed line.

The 3 bolt manifold is £375.00 + vat and includes gaskets, studs, and a 50' x 2" roll of exhaust wrap.

I also have up rated fuel pumps, and injectors, if they are required.

If you have any other questions, please ask.

Mark.

Cheers mate, that must be about 18 months ago now !

They are all built to order by Turbo Dynamics and come direct from there.
