Default misfire or hes?

Hi guys merry christmas took the car out yesterday and today uk turbo and between 2500-3000 there is a hesitation or mis fire? the harder you exelirate the beter it is but driving it normal it is so bad some times? i changed the plugs less than 2000 miles ago and swaped the leads too (where secound hand though) any help would be very greatfull thanx chris

I highly suspect this is lambda sensor related, I say this because my year 2000 uk had the exact same symptoms as yours and i replaced the sensor with one of these cheapy ones from ebay and it cured it instantly. The only trouble is..... They only last approx 6 weeks. I'm currenty running a (Bosch) sensor from a 80,000mile Nissan primera but i think it's on its way out too. I believe, (but could be totally wrong) that these sensors are prone to failure on the my2000 because they run so rich, even richer than my99 models.

just changed the lambda its a bit smoother but still have this prob worst when it colder any more idears

Was it a genuine part and have you reset the ecu....?

wasnt a genue part still cost 50 quid but least it should count that out and i still have a spare how do u rest the ecu?

disconnect at the plug, replug it at mot time. Shouldnt throw a cel. See how it drives.
Its normal for it to hesitate slightly under 3000/3500rpm when cold until it gets up to temperature. My00 also does it and has done for 4 years.

my rb5 had hesatation a week ago

ended up being the boost solenoid

its located on the drivers side suspension turret,its barrel shaped and usally says denso on it,should have to pipes coming out of it and a elec connection

clean with carb cleaner there is a thread some where on the p1 site with pics and step by step instruction which i followed would of put a link up but can't seem to find it now
