Default do i need a CAT for mot in my00 version 6 sti

Im sure that i have read/been told that as it is a import, it is to be tested under a not catted car?

is this right?

just found this, and think mine would be defaults limits 8?
myoo import sti (classic)

Well, my STi 6 needed one (decatted when I first bought it). It now has a sports cat from here and is fine

Impreza Turbo 1993-2000 Classic : Subaru Impreza Ninja Downpipe with Fast Flow 100 Cell Sports Cat

No power loss over a decat as far as I can tell, and passes the MOT no problems.

The other one that usually gets a mention is here - but don't know anyone that has one.

My import wrx my00 needed the cat fitted for the mot.......only think its pre 94? that can get away with it not fitted

I think it has to pass the emissions.. strictly speaking it doesn't have to have a cat.. but it won't get the emissions low enough without

is there a easy way to play with the apexi power fc to help pass?
