Default newby 22B - Won't start - help required please

Looking for a little help?
While driving home my car cut out and then didnt want to start again.
There was no warnings justs died.
After getting the car home, I didnt have a spark coming from the coil pack to the leads, so was advised to change the crank sensor, which I have and now have a spark, but still wont fire.
I have removed the plugs and cleaned, as the car ended up floaded and have now have also changed the cam sensor, as I was advised that both sensors feed the coil pack and could effect things. I now have a spark at the plugs, and god you can smell the fuel!
But still the car wont start ?

ANY IDEAS PLEASE !

n.b. The car is running a Gems ecu, which is a pain in the **** to start at the best of times, so has no MAF !

Thanks in advance

Louie

Have found that when a set of plugs is heavily wetted up sometimes cleaning just isn't enough...Try putting in a new set of plugs and see if that helps..

See if you can find the fuel pump fuse, take it out and then crank the engine over. This should clear / reduce the amount of unburnt fuel in the cylinders.

I had a similar problem, ended up changing the plugs, took them out and left it for a couple of hours before refitting, also charged the battery fully and it started first time.

Bad news, new plugs havent worked, Battery is fine, good spark, lots of fuel, but not starting, it is very close to starting but never quite gets there?
Even had a booster pack on the battery for good measure.
I did turn the engine over when the plugs were out to get rid of the fuel in the cylinders.

ANY OTHER IDEAS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME

THANKS

Cam timing slipped ?..... check belt tension,if timing out then all the fuel and spark in the world wont start it up.

Not looking on the bright side i know but its a possability.

Did have a quick check, tension looked / felt ok, the only thought is that its jumped a tooth, but seems a bit unlikely to me, seeing that I was only doing 20mph when the car died! could this be possible?

I have Spoken with TSL, who are trying to help me remotely as im 2 1/2 hours away, but there feeling is that it could be the GEMS gone down?
What is the likely hood of that?
