Default Can you read CEL on newage WRXs like classics?

Hey guys,

Is there anyway to read the CEL codes on the newage cars? I know on the classics, you could join two plugs together and read, but is this the case on the newage cars? Just fit decat downpipe, up pipe and ported headers, I'm guessing the CEL is for either the EGT sensor, or the lack of cat in the downpipe. But I'm not so sure?

Cheers

Not that I know of, but you can buy yourself a little device for doing it for what a garage would probably charge you (MAC Tools sell one for £45 +VAT).

Did you fit the resistor (2.2 KOhm, 0.6 Watt) in place of the EGT Sensor?

No, I need to go and buy one. I knew it would come on, but I just didn't expect it to come on so quickly!
