I reckon for what you say you need, a system from Magnex would be a great starting place to look. They are top quality and sound meaty rather than loud, a nice throb. Many companies offer cheaper or free fitting as they are so well made they don't have any problems fitting them. I have Magnex on my MY99 and I am more than happy

I'll second that, a superb system with great build quality and a sublime noise to boot.

Just so happens I've got a Hi-Flow Performance Silenced Afterburner Centre Section currently available in the General For Sale section, this allows you to achivie that great sound, the famous burble from your Impreza but keeps cabin noise down to an extent.

Give me a shout if you are interested, a full explaination of the system and its condition are explained in the For Sale thread.

If you have a look at View My Scooby you will also see what the Afterburner Vortex looks like as I have the full system currently installed on my 07 STi.

Here is the link if you are interested:

Blitz NUR Spec R!!!!

A fantastic and well made piece of kit.

Very loud though. Especially on a 2.5L with tubular headers, and a rotated externally wastegated Garrett GT30R
