got a my00 classic already have a de cat down pipe am looking to get a new centre section removing resonator and cat but been told that if i do this the car will go into limp mode any help guys ???????true or not true

oh ok thanks. i dont think that is true i have had an 3" turbo back system with no cats and a 3.5" open mouth DP for a year and it runs even better. if u wer to get it mapped then you would gain the full benefit out of the system.

Removing the CAT will present no major problem. Sometimes removing the CAT causes the CAT on fire warning light or CEL to come on. I don't think that happens on your model but if it does it is easily fixed with a small electrical device that cost around £10.
Personally I would not remove the snorkle and certainly not if you are not remapping. I have found that while removing the snorkle on its own makes more noise it also reduces power, probably because the air flow is disrupted.
It may be that removing the snorkle, taking steps to smooth the air flow and remapping lead to a slight gain but I have not actually experimented that far after the initial surprise and disappointment.

had some truble with my00 uk turbo when just taking center de cat off and k&n pannel filtter boost went from normal to going to 18 psi and back down to12 psi up and down on throttle in 5th gear very annoying so put a dawes on (tempary) to settle it to 14.4
