Default ECU help please.

I have a may 97 UK turbo - the first of the facelifts.
I have a full system, and want to put a filter into it and was thinking about getting it remapped as well (although there is some debate if this can be done ). Can anyone recommend anyone in NI that can do this?
I also have the chance of a 3 pin prodrive ecu but im not sure its compatable or will defo fit? I do know the keys will need reprogramming. Can anyone help with this?
Final question - if all else fails can any of the ECU's (classic shapes) be swapped that can be programmed?

Or failing this can any other ecu from a classic that is programmable be swapped to mine?

Any help would be appreciated.

the prodrive ecu will need the key matching to it. . a dealer can do this..
however you need to confirm it is for a uk etc..

the car should start and stall after about 4seconds with the key illuminated on the dash if it is not reprogrammed.

There are remappable ecus.. hopefully later this year the original ecu's for this year will be mappable via an extra board but currently only replacement units - Apexi, Link, Gems, Simtek etc

Simon thanks for your response. I had a look on your website, but im afraid buying one is out of the question. Ive only just bought this car and I cant see the missus being too excited about me spending another £800 making this already "too fast" car even faster!!

Can you tell me any more about programming the original, that sounds more down my street? Do you have a rough idea when this might be available cost etc? Will you be doing these?
Im not looking to go mad on this car, really the exhaust, filter and re-map should do me hopefully seeing aroud 270 mark..........I hope?
