Hi guys,

Looking to put these tyres on classic MY00 turbo?

What are they like in the wet, most say ok in dry but any experiences in wet please?

Many thanks

I run these on mine. Nice tyre and very predicatble in the wet. I used Falkens before, so for me it was a night and day difference.

I use a 215/40/17 but will be thinking about the 215/45/17 for a bit better ride quality.

Wayne.

I think the general opinion is that these are not as good as F1s, especially in the wet. However, I had F1s and now have T1R and I can't see a lot of difference - they are very good, and also pretty cheap too @ £63.50 delivered for 17s classic size:

I'm using the 215/40/17 and in the wet I Find them good on conering very little problems unless I press the loud pedal, when I do I find myself wheelspinning all the way to 70 mph in second

I suppose the point is that it's a matter of opinion. My last two sets of tyres were

1) Goodyear F1
2) Toyo T1R

Both superb in the wet, found the Toyos to be more durable.

My set are over due for change (@20k) and they've been good, only one criticism, on my car they aquaplaned very badly. I'm talking brown trouser moments at not very fast speeds..!

I'm trying the new GY asymmetric next..
